Hello All,

I just joined your forum so I thought I'd say hello.

I'm a fairly young man, but I'm not a newbie to pipe smoking (I'm going on my forth year). I have however just started to venture away from sticky sweet aro's over to English blends and I'm wanted to try Va's as well. I'm from the great Flint/Saginaw area so if anyone on here goes to Paul's I'd like ot hear from you.

Alright, I've blabbed enough for now. Have a good one guys.

I have to smoke outside. Living in Arizona has been difficult at times, but as I age, increasingly a blessing! A slowly progressing project next to the gun safe, is a walk in (formerly a closet) lined humidor, ...

My name is Anthony. I'm 24, and I'm originally from Western Nevada. I am currently deployed with the Army within Baghdad, Iraq. I picked up pipe smoking while in Iraq as a way to decongest from the stress and rigors of deployment, and it has become an activity close to my heart which I do not see myself parting with for at least the next 75 years or so.

Hi there!

My name is Andrew and I've been smoking the pipe since this summer when I bought a cob on a whim.

Since then I've developed a strong lust for VA/Perique blends.

When I first started I bought this pipe and smoked a few different things out of it, and it has since become my latakia pipe. It is an estate Stanwell and I think it may be from the 70's. Problem is I seldom reach for the English blends anymore, so I am going to take the booze to it tonight and turn it over ...

Hello Brothers of Briar. My name's Mike, and I reside in Melbourne, Australia. I've been a occasional/regular cigar smoker up to now, but have always wanted to try pipe smoking (just like Dad and Grandad.)

Have finally invested in two pipes and will, when I can manage it, head to the tobacconist and invest in some tobacco (probably an aromatic to begin with !!)

It's heading into Summer here, so I look forward to many warm evenings kicking back on the porch with my pipe.

Cheers

Hello!

I'm Joey. I'm 26, and started smoking a pipe a few weeks ago. I picked up a cheap "basket pipe" from a great shop here in Denver (Edward's) and a couple of ounces of one of their mild blends "Drury Lane." I love it!

I've spent the past few weeks breaking in the pipe, and also breaking myself in I've noticed that the experience has improved quite a bit since I first started. I don't smoke cigarettes or cigars, so at first my senses were a bit overwhelmed. ...

Would like to say hello. My first pipe purchased 3 days ago is a medium sized. The mouthpiece drops down to a rusticated dark burgandy colored bowl. I am starting with lighter aromatics until I get used to pipe smoking. Today I will be trying the Brandy Buck Or the Apricot Brandy. For the last couple days I have been smoking on a lighter aromatic to get a little used to it first.

I look foreward to learning more about pipe smoking and sharing my experiences as I learn more as well.

Just wanted to say hi! I'm 29 and have been smoking pipes for about the last 12 years. My father is an avid pipe smoker and so when I was in high school back up in northern Ohio, he landed a summer job for me with his friend who owns a pipe shop in Akron. I worked there during the summer months and it was there where I "cut my teeth" or shall I say "burned my tongue" on pipes

Anyhow, several years on and I've been fulfilling my other passion, classic ...

Hello, as you can guess from my moniker, I'm in law enforcement. I am a 21 year veteran of a middle sized town in the Piedmont of NC. I have only been smoking for about 2 months, and decided to do so upon finding a couple of old Dr. Graybow pipes that were my dad's from over 40 years ago...they are somewhat broken in. I have 2 other briars that were made in Italy. I have been trying out different tobaccos, but find that I keep going back to a vanilla flavor. That special someone in my life ...

New to the forum and compared to many old hands, barely broken in with pipe smoking.

I discovered pipes and pipe tobaccos about 5 years ago. My curiosity was piqued because by that time, I'd been smoking roll-your-own cigarettes for a few years and had realized that there is much more enjoyment from tobacco to be had than what's in a pack of premade smokes.

Due to some of the great RYO blends that are out there, I rightfully assumed that there must be some really astounding pipe blends ...

Hello all,

To be honest, I registered here not because I smoke - yet - but because of some pipes were left to me recently. They're a brand I'm unfamiliar with (the usual store brands, like Grabow, I know of). Nothing online turns up on them, that I could find. The brand is Dulcet, and they say made in England. I received three of them, plus one called, I think, Yellow Bole or something like that. I've never heard of either. Anyone here know anything on them, particularly Dulcet?

Stonehaven is back in stock at marscigars.com - limit 2x 8oz per customer

As for me - 42 years old but new to the pipe (with cigarettes and cigars now in my past)

How I ever had a love affair with tobacco without having enjoyed pipe tobacco is beyond me...

Hi y'all from Mississippi. I'm a cigar smoker who has smoked a pipe off and on for the last few years. Recently I have been really enjoying my pipes more than cigars. Not knowing better all I had smoked were drug store aromatics. I am now smoking some local shop blends and Frog Morton on the Bayou. The Frog is my favorite right now.

I look forward to learning more.
