Just came across this site and found it to be quite enchanting!

It's a site that just features user submitted photos from the past, many of which are from the early 1900's late 1800's.

This is the one that got me hooked and I have been looking on the site for a while now, each photo more interesting than the last!

Shorpy

Be sure to check that photo out in full-res...amazing! Most of the photos on there are available in high res. Check it out!

If this sort of thing intrests you I'd suggest jumping on it while they're still available. They're $40.00 shipping included plus he throws in another vintage BBB catalog reprint too. I just ordered mine and am anxious to get it.

At the library the other day I overheard a woman talking to the librarian about a book she'd just finished. Some of the references caught my ear, and after a minute I realized the subject of the book was a high-profile murder that occurred in a house that was about 200 yards from where I grew up. At the end of my street.

I joined their conversation and was shown the book, and sure enough I'd heard right. It happened 20-some years after I'd moved away, but the pics showed that nothing ...

The prizes are 8 oz. of Cornell and Diehl, your choice of blend.

Hey guys,
things have gotten very complicated in my life right now; I really don't want to come on in a year and say hey guys, remember me?
So, I will use this to stop in and say hello.

Doesn't mean I intend to quit posting, but work was hard, everyone on my case, and I just got home.

So just want to say hello to everyone. The girl comes out of the hospital tomorrow.

I'm sure it's a long shot but I thought I'd post anyway. If anyone here gets a Google Wave invite and has one to spare I'd love to get one.

If you don't know what it is it's worth checking out. I think it will be the next best thing in online communication. It's currently invite only (starting today) much like how they rolled out gmail.
