Got this one for $102.00,I'm thinking I'm turning more to the meerschaum these days.
I'm going to retire soon and will have some meers to color in my dotage. Laughing

I'm still envious of your sherlock holmes edition calabash - it is the special edition of the one I have, and not only do I love the covering, but am a huge holmes fan. If I'm lucky enough to find one I will gladly trade my thumbs for it Smile

Great meer Winslow. Yanik is by far the finest Meerschaum artisan practicing the art of pipemaking/carving today. Congrats on your fine ebay win and for a very reasonable sum.
If you ever get a chance to try an Andreas Bauer Meerschaum please do. They are IMHO the finest of meerschaum, Austrian Made. They are not carved figures but more traditional smooth or carved asymmetrical shapes. At times they can be found unsmoked in the original fitted mahogany cases mated with a fine amber colored tamper. Sorry for rambling.
