| I had been a pretty constant pipe puffer for several years sometimes alternating between briar and cigars for months at a time but for whatever reason in early 2009 I put down the pipes for cigars until just recently, so I've lost track of a lot of what's been going on in the world of pipe tobacco (aside from the new taxes).
The one advantage to this time off period is all the tobacco in my cellar now has nearly 2 years of age on it at the youngest, so that worked out well!
I was last keeping up on things in late 2008 and at that time there were rumors that some of the blends I like would either be no longer produced or no longer imported so I hoarded away a bunch right before I moved on to cigars, so I was wondering what the current status of these blends are (all of mine purchased ca 12-08):
Dunhill Light Flake (the small, rectangular tin)
Hamborger Veermaster
Escudo
Thanks for the updates and information!

| Escudo is definitely available. I have a tin of it in my car as we speak.
I believe HV is also about, though I'm not 100%. I know nothing of the Dunhill you mentioned. |

| Hamborger Veermaster often out of stock, but it makes appearances now and then. Mars and Pipesandcigars sell bulk. (The price has gone up.)
Dunhill Light Flake is no longer called "Light," due to stupid new laws. It's available as Dunhill Flake.
Escudo is widely available.

| Dunhill Light Flake is also available -- sort of. Spotted a tin earlier today at the local B&M. But I've just been told it has been discontinued. Perhaps this thread may be useful: http://www.mombu.com/cigars/pipes-and-pipes-tobacco/t-dunhill-light-flake-2934935.html
Cheers. |

| Thanks all for the updates! Luckily I have a pretty good stash of all this stuff, but good to know it's still available for future hoarding! |
