Society wants to see itself become perfect. Becoming perfect however means sacrificing things we like. So, it it really worth it? In 1000 years from now, not really. We will be decayed into chunks of soil no matter how perfect we become today.

Yep. Except fortunes are won and lost based upon this perfection, so this perfect life is only relevant to those in the driver's seat. Thinking about how the future "should" be is the advantage of being alive. Look at the philosophy of Gene Roddenberry. However, if particle transporters take 1000 years to create, I'm gonna be pissed. Laughing

Yes, Kyle. And on further note, the only thing that will be left of today's society will be exotic hand carved pipes locked in heavily gaurded museum display cases.

Laughing With large explanations of archaic, digital marketplaces where these goods were traded. Instead of "tribal" tattoos, all the kids will have "eBay" on them. "This is the way it WAS, man, those must have been TOUGH TIMES..." Heheheh
