When you think of your favorite pair of jeans does any of this sound familiar?

When I was a kid, it had to be Levi's, they were cool in the late 70's (same for their shirts). Nowadays, I usually get the Kohls store brand for around $15, they seem to work fine. I have a few pairs of the Kmart jeans, for $8 on sale, they are pretty darn comfortable and durable. Levis now seems to only make "baggy", etc. jeans that just don't fit me any more.

Leviís also makes a retro pair of jeans that are one of the best fitting pair of jeans Iíve purchased in a long time. They even have a button fly and the red tag on the back pocket. Got them from Khols.

How cool. I always enjoy learning how the things we use every day are made. We so often take for granted those little things like the jeans we wear. Let's hear it for the hard working folks that make our blue jeans so damn comfy!

When I first saw the video was 10 minutes, I was thinking, "oh, I'm not watching that whole thing". But, once I started it, I had to finish it. Great stuff. I would have never imagined that they did the lines with a laser. I always figured they were bleached or something.

I wear them all the time. Agriculture classes and fieldwork allow for that. I'm a jeans kinda guy. Especially here in Texas when doing field work, it's fairly imperative to have good thick pants. For that I usually get some of the Wrangler Cowboy jeans, thick, dark and take a good beating. Otherwise it's just levi's and such.

Fascinating video.

Great video, I always enjoy "How it's made" on TV and similar shows.

Levi's products have been disallowed in my home since they pulled all their product off Petro's shelves due to 'Truck Drivers do not represent our brand image' bs... I pulled all their tags off all the products in my hone (a crapload of us did) and sent them a letter stating that I was glad they made that decision as their brand did not represent the image of the American Truck driver and that they could safely pull their product out of the mall too as I wouldn't be purchasing them there either. I wouldnt wear anything but levis til that point. Haven't purchased anything from them since.

Now its mostly old navy

Well that was some bullshit on their behalf. I mainly wear wranglers now, as they just fit me right.
