PostSubject: disgust...   Sat Aug 11, 2012 1:25 am

My girlfriend's uncle, a man I never met, was murdered last night, right in front of his five year old son. The shooter had a beef with the victim's brother...
What kind of person shoots a man in the face, right in front of his little kid?

I can add nothing the others have not said. Other than to say that I too stand in the same way.

May the boy be alright. May the murdering *&^%$ be dealt with properly.

For if not properly, it would be our kind of justice which .... well, though it might be right in some circumstances, is not the justice of our court system.

May justice be done.

In full.

That's unbelievable. My heart goes out to her and her family, especially the child. I'm really sorry to hear that.

I know it's not really the thing to be focusing on, but I hope they got the guy.

He won't.

I don't know what to say either, except God help us for we can't seem to help ourselves. So sorry this happened to your family.

My family will keep your family in our prayers.

That's sad, Chris. No, it's pathetic!

I'm in shock. Sometimes it's hard to comprehend why some things happen...

If you or your family need any help, please don't hesitate to reach out to your brothers.

Thats really, really shocking. I feel so sorry for all concerned.

It will be of little comfort but but I also hope the authorites arrest or have arrested the murderer and he pays for his crime. Unfortunately no amount of justice will reverse the damage he has done.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Jers

I have a friend whose father was also killed by another person in front of him, age seven, actually. He deals with it pretty well. It all depends on where the kid goes, who he is, his predispositions and his support system thereafter. His family never felt sorry for him, but treated him with a firm hand and total loving support. He's weird, but then again, he's friends with yours truly (who has seen his share of sh*t for one lifetime). Love mixed with direction.

You never know. I wish him the best, in that regard.

Cool

Chris, I'm really sorry to hear about this. I can tell you from personal experience, that things will be different for everyone involved. Negative in some ways, but positive in others.

This type of thing will make everyone realize how fragile life is, and how most everything in life is temporary. A person can take that ball and run with it, in a variety of different directions.

Wow Harlock, I feel for that 5 year old. Hopefully the family is strong and will band together around him.
