PostSubject: Bombed in Afghanistan   Mon Oct 08, 2012 12:05 pm

So our mail cam in again today an I had a couple boxes. Brother Jers was kinds enough to send me a thing of Yachtsman Navy Plug which finally made it today thank you very much brother.

Blackhorse also told me a little while back that he had sent me a bomb, I must say he bombed the living crap out of me:

In his nuclear bomb was an array of awesomeness that included:
A travel humidor
A massive Mastro de Paja bent pipe
A guttin' knife
A plug cuttin' knife with 2 strops
The new P&C.com and Iwan catalogs (pipe porn)
A leather tobacco pouch
Tupperware bowls for the samples
Pipe cleaners
Tins of:
MacBaren Old Dark Fired
MacBaren Mature Virginia from 07
SamG Bracken Flake
SamG Firedance Flake
SamG FVF
Solani Burley Flake
Hamborger Veermaster
GLP JackKnife Plug from 07
NYCPC Bedloe's Island
C&D Kajun Kake from 06
A tin of the original Erinmore Flake
A pouch of Five Brothers
Samples of:
Night Train
965 from 02
Durbar from 02
Oriental Dusk which I am currently smoking in my Stanwell and is delicious
Weybridge

I have been bombed and the devastation is in insane. The generosity exhibited is crazy and brought a tear to my eye. Jers mailing me toby from Ireland that I wanted badly to try. And Blackhorse for literally bombing me into submission. I don't know how to express the deep gratitude welling deep in my heart for y'all right now. Never in my life could I have imagined a bombing of this magnitude and it has shaken me to my core. The sheer awe upon opening the box and the pure amazement of all within. The giving amongst brothers on this forum is insane. All of you are truly generous men and I am honored beyond words to be a part of this great group of both men and a woman. Sorry to repeat myself right now but I am searching for words and they just aren't coming to me as eloquently as I want because of the shock I am in right now. I'd get an IV but I am sure I'd bleed out from the damage just done to me. I am indebted to you both and and just well honored beyond words right now. THANK YOU VERRRRY MUCH gentlemen. I will be diving in to these tobaccos and trying them out. I will also be sharing these with KV since he has been growing in his smoking as well so he can get the experience, until he leaves me that is. Damn this Oriental Dusk is good. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Shocked

Kaiser, you've earned it, even if I know at least half of that is going to make its rounds throughout the Marine base there... Laughing ...you've done much for the brothers here and abroad.

In my opinion there's no one more deserving. Just a little salute to one of our own who's away from home and loved ones.

BTW: Your photos show the green felt side of the little Alder plug cuttin' board. I assume you know that the other side is the one you should be using the knife on. And if you hang the board on a nail somewhere, the leather thongs on the knife and strop will loop over the top of the handle thing on the board and be there when you need 'em. But if your digs lack proper security, they all fit nicely inside the giant Otterbox which has a hasp for a padlock! Better safe.

All in all I'm pleased everything made it safely. It's a long way.

Hahaha he said spurdle.

Yeah I gotcha with the cuttin board Sir, I actually made use of it and the knife today to cut up some Bedloe's Island. Everything is freaking awesome and I am still at a loss for words on the sheer magnitude of the bomb. I am still truly amazed and I am coming up on 24hrs since it hit, I think tremors are still passing through the tent.
