Apparently it is "No Shave November" for Prostate Cancer Awareness.

Not sure exactly how not shaving has anything to do with prostate cancer awareness but I will take the excuse not to shave. Who else is in? Maybe on Nov 30 we post pics of the beards from this month.

I'm too pretty to let my face go all scraggly for a month Smile Laughing

We were talking about shaving the face, weren't we? Given the prostate subject matter I had to do a double check Suspect

So being that I want to take a crack at a handlebar mustache.... I trimmed and shaped my goatee and started shaping my mustache... I walk out of the bathroom and my wife greets me with "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

I went back and looked at the mirror.. OMG I almost look with him with my hair down!

NO shave NOvember is supposed to work like this, you get people to sponsor you for your no shaving, and then donate the money to prostate cancer. This is supposed to raise awareness and money.

It started in Australia, with Movember. As you may or may not know, a "mo" is a mustache. So men would get people to donate money to them to grow out their mustache for the month of November. But remember this started before the time of ironic cool mustache and the hipster phenom. So mustaches were considered really silly at the time. It got really big in Australia and moved across the pond. But since we don't really use the word Mo, we changed it.

In the spirit of hating on that despicable bunch of convicts I lived among for four wonderful years. I am participating... but I started a month early, and wont grow my mustache in protest. Nor will I shave it for December 1st.

rev

btw, I love Australia, I miss her and he people, and her meat pies, and cricket Especially cricket, man I love that game

this from the C&D harbor flake thread author?

"and as I gently rolled this meticulously cut and dry delicate flake between my fingers, it fell apart like so many doomed marriages. And the sun, crested ever so slightly above the trees, suggesting, hope. A hope for a new time, a new tobacco, a world renewed with possibilities. I smiled to myself, warming with the sunlight, and began to press this leafy gold into my favorite pipe"

btw I didn't even think that it could be taken as "my own doomed marriages", I don't know if you have ever been divorced, but that could have seemed rude, so please forgive me if I offended
