Also, I think yours turned out beautifully--can't believe that was just a day's labor!

Two days for me. A lot of hand sanding. Being better with the belt/disc sanders could speed things up a lot.

I cannot stress enough how much of a great value this pipe making seminar is. If anyone is interested email Brian Ruthenberg in December. Spaces are limited. Always some great carvers on hand to assist and advise.

Oh, so what did I get in the silent auction?

Almost identical to one I got two years ago, another Peter Heeschen sandblast P pipe.

So it was you that got the Heeschen! Your bid was saved by the bell on that little guy Smile I was sad that he couldn't be at the show, as I was really looking forward to seeing more of his work in person, but the wife and I ended up with a couple nice pipes. I'll have to post pics up after I get unpacked. Congrats on your new additions!

Three years in a row I managed to pick up a Heeschen at the silent auction. Great smoking pipes.

Thanks for the pics, Carlos! For guys like me that can't afford to go, it is wonderful to get an idea of what goes on there.

Unfortunately Peter Heeschen was unable to attend Chicago this year and was missed for sure. His work is superb as his donation pipe shows in the photo. Congrats on a fine win Carlos. That is a fine example of Peters signature pipe shape.
