I am headed to the local butcher shop this week. They have been family owned since the 1960's.

Let me see what I can come up with! Twisted Evil

Western Family Mayonaise?

Come on now...stop being like that.

OH! By the way, you can 'adjust' whatever sauce you come up with. That's only reasonable since one thing might not be available, or you stumble upon that treasured jar of 'Two Holes Burning" down at the local Piggly Wiggly.

Geez, Commander, first you order us to get saucy, and then when Gravel does you tell him to knock it off--what gives?

I'll hold off on claiming a sauce myself until I see if I can get some ghost pepper oil from my local spice shop...

GG - Mayo is not a sauce. It's a dressing. The difference is vast. VAST!

There's a local BBQ place down here that I think makes excellent sauce, but I don't believe they jar it for long term storage. I think they just make what they need on a daily basis. I wonder if I can find a sanitary way of getting some sent.

Until I determine that, I'm not going to claim a sauce just yet.

The dumpster diving bears in Yosemite might taste good, not to mention the Funyun eating squirrels.

It might just be possible that this was one of those startlingly wonderful ideas fraught with far too much potential for disaster.

I'm beginning to think that McClelland's might be an acceptable sub after all.

And I haven't mentioned the worst part yet. I wuz going to save it for the orders going out tomorrow...but gosh, the way things are going...with the NW Mayo Hot Sauce thing (actually I think that heavy picante note is the buttermilk)...I'm gonna lay it all out there.

So remember, this is a March Madness strike...right? The sauce was part of it...Part A. That would make the fact that this is going to be an aromatic blends bombing Part B. I understand financial circumstances could disallow that for some. But generally I'd like the ordinance, where it's tobacco, to be aros.

So, March Madness for sure...Hot Sauce and Aromatic Blends.

Twisted Evil <snicker> Twisted Evil

It's one of those classic opportunities that might come along once in one's lifetime. I can see it now. You'll be sitting in your chair by a nice Winter fire someday with your grandkids (Vera, Chuck and Dave) sprawled about on the hooked rug, frozen stares on their sweet faces as little Vera asks with that note of hope in her voice...'Grampa, can you tell us again about the Hot Sauce and Aromatic bombing you did?' (she's just so cute)

Yup. It's gonna be just that special.

I'm piping in here for Kaiser and myself...

Lee & Perrins Worschtershire is my sauce of choice.

Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ is coming compliments of Kaiser.

Yeah...I thought we'd all have a tin or so, moldering out on the back porch. Just sumpthin one collects here and there without thinking about it too much. Like a by product of just having been a pipe guy for for a while. Like, just the detritus of life. Like a rusty old swing set out in the yard where the kids used to play. Like that beast of a desktop computer down in the basement next to washer and dryer...the big box of rocks out in the garage Uncle Howard collected down at the shore that one Summer...the scrapbooks of the kids old school projects...the stuff that went with the film cameras still taking up two full drawers in the guest room dresser. Stuff.

It's madness I tell ya. It's March Madness!

No rules. Just suggestions reflecting what I would do. It's a little off to the side...but would work for me if I got it!

Hmmmm. You know, in order to ensure that you yokels send the 'right stuff' I think you should all send me a jar first. Then I'll run 'em through the 'catagory adherence' department for confirmation. Yeah...that's it!

Two things:

1. I can't EVEN believe you would be foolish enough to say something like that. Shocked

2. I bow to your obviously greater expertise in that area. Laughing

I'm in!
As to which sauce, I'll need to visit a few of my favorite shops. I'm a sauceaholic myself, will take me a bit of thinking (and the announcement of who the target is) to pick my poison

fun!
