Watson's the name....I live with Blackhorse.
My job is to accompany Holmes on cases,
lending my invaluable experience...
which is minimal cause I'm only eight weeks old!

So, will you often be repeating the non-Holmes (AG Bell) line, 'Watson, come here'?

That is a great looking addition to your family, BH. When I was in college by parents had a Pug. She was a great dog and a wonderful companion. Congratulations!

Thanks everybody. I wish I could get some cred for how cute he is...but of course I had nothing to do with that. Kudos go to good breeding I guess. He is smart though. My wife taught him to 'fetch' last night in five minutes. I think it's more a case of HER being trained by HIM...or maybe each one was playing into the natural wants of the other. Whichever it was, each one thought they were pretty dang cool. Me? Well, I had to watch the little toad the last couple of days...and I can barely walk what with my knee going crazy on me. So I was just glad someone else was gettin' their fingers chewed off.

But I did take him out to the shop today, after a good sweeping, and let him rat around while I worked (with one eye on him) til he fell asleep on his little rug. So I got a good two hours in on the last steps in finishing a special knife...and this one is for myself!

So in two days he figured out how to help the girls teach him to fetch, was an excellent companion in helping me finish a special project and then likely chuckled to himself most of the evening at us thinking WE had done it...when, by Jove, it had been him all along.

Yeah, I'd say Watson was the perfect name all right.

Great story Dave. Looks like you got yourself a fine lil' companion.

Just make sure you teach him that gnawing your pipes is a big N-O!!

Wink

Cheers,

RR
