Ooh. Capstan too. Nice.

Looks like my mission has been fubar'd by our dear friends in blue.

Current status via DC# is:

Missent (June 28, 2013, 8:07 am)
(but still lists today as the expected delivery date,
which is likely just them being too lazy to change it)

So what does 'missent' mean? I think it's the printed version of a forehead slap accompanied by "D'OH!"

Note USPS poster below

Funny you should point that out. I have about two bowls of the old Capstan that Nate King gave me at the KC show. I think I'll sample them side by side and report my findings to you brothers. I've never had either so this should prove to be interesting.

Not to start a side thing here, but I've read that there's a fair amount of difference between the blue and yellow Capstan versions, the blue being less mild than the yellow. I think that the blue would be my choice if I were to pick one. Let us know your thoughts on the gifted vs. the tin you just received. I'm sure we'd all be interested.

Edit: I signed up for the email notifications at the USPS site and they just sent an update. Not only was my box missent at 8 o'clock but it was missent at 11 o'clock as well. Yup. They're batting a thousand!

On a serious note, I would like to say thank you to all of you guys. It was completely unexpected and undeserved. I am humbled and honored by your generosity.

So this good day is winding down.

I've already smoked some Solani Virginia Flake and some ODF, used my leather pipe covers, and my damascus steel tamper. Now I have to figure out what to smoke next! First world problems....

Thanks again to all my generous brothers!
