There are dark and and twisted things in the gears, pistons, and wiring of my brain.

Hahaha, Most people cant handle my sense of humor. Or much else. I have to play nice on these forums though. It amazes me how many men wear their vaginas on their sleeves.

You'll find I'm pretty tolerant to inappropriate humor. I try very hard to behave myself here, but sometimes it just doesn't work out that way.

Inspect for rust, yes they will pretty much all have some rust, but............I am refering to rusted through body and frame. While that is fixable , it can be quite difficult even for pros.
So what is acceptable rust?

I could totally se you rocking out a rat rod! however mopar muscle cars is where it is at. there are just to many mustangs and camaros out there. You want something you don't see often, one of a kind so to speak, like yourself. Mopar parts are readily available, fairly cheap and you can stomp the crap out of GM's and Fords all day with them.

Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil Dont listen to the previous poster  lol! J/K You want a classic 78-79 truck. Cool as heck and you can shove any motor in them. An IDI 7.3 diesel with 5 speed manual transmission and the right gearing would be totally sick and fast with the right injectors and tune. (I have heard of a 10 sec diesel dually)

My new project

In actuality, find what appeals to you the most. Then go from there. However, aside from the Mopar/GM/Ford rivalry, a small block 350 is probably the most versatile, cheapest, and easiest engine to work on and modify. Parts are super cheap and readily available from anywhere. If I was going to build a rat rod, that would be my choice of motor.

Yes, Im a Ford Man. I drive Ford trucks all day long. I own 4.
