No sabe nada, senor, but I had a thought while reading your query: what if someone made a pipe with a twin bore that extended all the way to the bowl, with two draft holes? Wonder how that would work? Betcha it would stay lit.
I had a George Bushee with a stem like that. I got it as an estate and am not entirely confident in saying that it was original to the pipe, though. Usually Bushee has a yellow stem with a wooden circle logo on it, this was just a black stem with no logo.

So, they do exist, somewhere.

I have a db with twin bore stem. The "V" seems to start about up the way from the tenon side. Can't say it smokes any different from the normal type of stem.

Well, I've heard that Radice did change the design of there twin bore system in later years and it appears that the jokes on me and the Radice that I repaired was a twin bore someone had messed up while cleaning or a bad job done at the factory, I believe the later. Thankfully it can be returned to it's original state without problem. Here is yet another out of the four or five I've seen since. I think this proves they were made both ways. Sorry for the quality of the photo, it's not mine and was borrowed from a website.
I'm sure some are still laughing, glad I could oblige.

Hey Ron,
Docwatson back again!!. After digging out a couple more Radice T/B pipes I've got a couple photos. Like I said previously, I did have some pipes with the 2 separate holes at the button which I have sold over the years. I do still have at least 2 others where the button has the slot milled into the end. So I have to agree that Radice did change the twin bore system over the years, but only the button end. The main part of the stem still had the larger single hole drilled from the tenon and then two side by side holes drilled into the button to meet the larger hole. Everyone still confused??? LOL

Thank you sir! Yours look like they were done better then mine was. Mine was probably made on a Monday or a Friday.
It's a shame that even a top brand like Radice will do a far from perfect job sometimes.
No confusion here sir, now I just need to get my hands on an early Twin Bore before they did the change and I'll be a happy man...........till another pipe perks my interest.
