As for the bombing mission:

My tracking shows that arrived at the nearby metro's facility yesterday. Throughout the day yesterday, it shows:
-Departed from its first stop in the target state
-Arrived in the nearby metro
-Sorted
-Processed through sorting facility
-Forwarded
-Processed through (same) sorting facility again
-Departed sort facility

Still not "out for delivery" and no updates with today's date, but it still shows 10/31 as the scheduled delivery day. This might turn out to be more trick than treat...at least the USPS keeps things interesting.

What's this! By Jove, I think you've got it! Brilliant little bit of deduction!

Look alive boys! Our very own Detective Big Casino has uncovered the identity of the Butcher of BOB!

CONGRATULATIONS TO BIG CASINO!!!!

Ready for the unveiling?

The Butcher of BOB is:

DrumsAndBeer

How could our very own affable DrumsAndBeer be responsible for so heinous an act? Maybe he'll answer maybe not. The important thing is that BOB land can sleep safe once again!

Great job to all participants. If you enjoyed this little murder mystery please let me know some feedback. If there is interest we'll try to do the same thing next year.

My ordinance hit the target too. Maybe he is digging out and looking for his computer in the rubble?

OK you guys I thought I read somewhere that old geezers were exempt from sneak attacks. What a mess you have made of my house. Bombs started falling yesterday. First bomb hit about 11:00 AM when UPS dropped left a package at my front door. It was a direct shipment from P&C and no data indicating the responsible person. I opened it carefully and BAM! I got hit with a goodly amount of tobacco (Candy Corn and Cinnamon Bun), two bars of Taffy and a really nice "Captain" pipe holder. There's a strange uncanny resemblance of the "Captain" and myself. My good friend Walt had recently been bombed and I thought this was probably from the same person. It didn't occur to me that all my friends had conspired together and selected me as this month's target. When the mail arrived late yesterday afternoon everything changed. I was caught unawares. No warning. Just a rash of bombs, rockets, and missiles. They hit pretty hard but I survived the onslaught. I've been hunkered down in my bunker all day. This afternoon another wave came and dropped bomb after bomb. I could see by looking through the cracks in the bunker that damage was heavy. There are piles of rubble all over the living room floor. My dining room looks like it took a direct hit. Tobacco, candy, and goodies are scattered everywhere. A full assessment of the damage along with pics to follow. You guys have no respect for your elders or betters. My kind of people. Thanks guys.

This is a good time to rehash how to join the BOB bombers. Seems like every 6 months or so we get a whole lot of active newbies who might have no clue who we are and what we do, and I will admit, this event, other than being fun, was to get the Bombers some attention to drum up some new membership.

BOB is a great community, and if you're interested in giving back to it, the Bombers is a great way. Those interested in joining just need to pm myself or gravel with the request to join the bombers and why it is they want to join. I know it's fun to get bombed, but this isn't about getting stuff, it's about giving, so make sure you examine your motives for joining. I think a lot of folks have joined expecting to get loads of free stuff and quickly dropped out when they realized it wouldn't happen soon.

If the interested party has been a member in good standing for 30 days and has 30 posts accumulated they will be admitted. The Commander will send them the Bombing Mission Statement and collect the pilots real name and address to be added to the pool. They are then free to participate in the missions.

Simple enough?

So c'mon team! Let's build that roster!

Oh and great job bombing AJ into oblivion guys! It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Pretty good consolation prize for not being able to participate in the murder mystery, eh AJ?

You were definitely in the ball park here.

What's this all about? Well, obviously I am drummer. My area of study over the last 10 years or my 30 years of playing has primarily been jazz. Jazz music being the melding pot that it is borrows a ton from traditional African rhythms many of which were also the basis for Cuban rhythms.

In the context of modern popular music, look no further than Steve Gadd's brilliant use of the Mozambique on Paul Simon's tune "Late in the Evening."

Now about that small port town in the UK -

Yes big thanks to Ocelot and Gravel for setting this up. It was a lot of fun.

You know, I agreed to being the murderer prior to him revealing the pipe. I have to admit, knowing that I would never have a chance at it, I kinda weeped a little when I saw it. 5) Laughing

This was all Ocelot. We were brainstorming ideas and his was the most thought out and best, plus he offered to do all the heavy lifting! The only thing I had to do was not guess! Laughing

I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the carnage!

yeah I recognized Mozambique as an African word which made me think of tribal drums, and the smoke rolled out of my ears I heard gears grinding, I blacked out for a short period, I woke up with the taste of burnt hair in my mouth and my wife standing over me she said I was repeating "Drumsandbeer drumnsandbeer" over and over she ran to the fridge grabbed me a beer and and said you don't have any drums, I said that is not important right now, there is Morta worry about ( see what I did there?), and filed my report

I can't wait to get that Jones Morta in my grasp!

Really? I suppose so, but we're as likely to bomb a worthy general member as another bomber
