Hold on Guys I'm an old man and I don't move as quickly as I used to. I've got the pictures downloaded to my laptop and I've completed the damage assessment. My hands and fingers feel like they've been boiled in acid and I type by the hunt and peck method. But I was like a kid on Christmas morning having the time of my life opening all the packages. Damage was heavy as the pictures will show. Have a little patience with this old geezer and I'll have it all posted by late this afternoon. Having to stop and sample some of this fine tobacco has been an impediment to progress. Very Happy I love you Very Happy

All of you guys copped a sneak on the old man. I couldn't believe I didn't see this coming. The mailman had to make two trips to deliver all of the ordinance. Two large mail baskets filled to overflowing. I thought he might be upset by having to carry two such loads but when he left he was talking about his vacation or so I think. Anyway he said something about all the sunny beaches so I just assumed...

I was reminded of all the fun it is to bomb someone. Sure it's great to get a lot of goodies but the the fun and happiness one has as he opens his packages is something one won't soon forget. It's why I wanted to become a member of the BoB's Bombing Squad. To make someone feel special and to know he has friends thinking about him. You unloaded a lot of great tobacco, novelties and food items. Like I said earlier it's like being a kid again on Christmas morning. You're swell bunch of guys and I appreciate every item you sent. I can hardly wait to get my revenge. Smile

I had all the pictures attached to the other post but when I went to attach the 3rd from the last they all disappeared. That's why I'm posting them separately. I don't want to wipe out the whole thing. Smile

Sweet Mother Mary! What a trove! The pipe cleaners alone would set a brother up for life!

It's SPOOKTACULAR! It's STUPIDPENDOUS!! It's SQUADRONLICIOUS!!!

It brings a tear to these tired old eyes. The Cary PO will have yer mug shot up in lights! Why, the only thing we're missing is the cantankerous wife on the rampage accusing you of going on a TAD and CAD binge. (the 'C' stands for 'candy')

Too bad all the cobs and tobacco are ghosted with cordite. Brings a whole new meaning to' Dark Fired'!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Each and every bomb is greatly appreciated, but more than the bombs (gifts, candy, tobacco) it's the sharing of your time and kindness that means the most to me. This experience has been a true delight. The members of this forum are great but the members of the Bomb Squad are a breed unto themselves. I feel so fortunate to be honored by all of you that gave so willingly. Smile

AJ

Here is the list and picture of the carnage that was delivered yesterday.

Tobacco:

Dunhill Flake
HH Old Dark Fired
Semois (Totally surprised by the person that sent this. A very special person indeed)

Candy and Treats:

2 Butterfinger Bars
1 Lolly Pop
1 Candy Rabbit
1 Skeleton
1 Vampire Bat Toy

One of our members sent me a cute little pipe. I'm sorry but I can't make out the name.

Being really slow...I just found this thread...

...since I had the pleasure of being part of the conspiracy, without knowing it, ...a BIG Congratulations to AJ....couldn't happen to a nicer old geezer, and one of my best friends.

You guys are the greatest.....without question.

And to DrumsandBeer, a great big thank you for the tasty treats.  The Davidoff English Mixture was a particular treat...thank you for including me in on the caper.

I'm a big fan of ODF. This particular tin has a unique taste. Reminds me a lot of peanut butter and pumpkin. Lots of fruit notes too. Raspberry, lemon, and I think there's a strong possibility of some grape. Very unusual. I think I'm going to let it age a bit and then send it to my friend out in California for Christmas. He's really into this kind of thing. In fact he likes Borkum Riff and Paladin Black Cherry. He mixes them with Grasmere and Bosun Cut Plug. affraid I know that sounds weird but hey each to his own vices right? Figure this would be something he could sit back and enjoy after it has aged properly. In fact I think I'll have to pass on Christmas and allow it to age for a year or two. It should be ripe by then with a tin note to die for. Anyone that would like to join me in providing this old friend with some much needed pleasure just give me a PM and I'll shoot his addy to you and you can send him some of his favorite tobacco. He's be so appreciative. Smile
