Holy guacamole Santa must think I am extra super nice, I got a box that was so big I figured it must be filled with bubble wrap... nope, just tin after tin, and a box full of cigars and a ton of samples and a pipe and a pipestand and probably more stuff. I am stunned, and happy I will post pictures tomorrow morning

Well I am not sure if my not so secret santa wants his name out or not so out of respect I will just say he is a very generous and kind gentleman. The large box was chocka block full of wonderful tobacco treats:

we have a half a box of assorted cigars
must be at least twenty five samples of many different blends some I have never heard of
a very cool pipe that I think I will call a mushroom sitter, santa assures me it will be a great flake smoker
a cool bullet tamper
a bad arse dachshund pipe holder
some pipe cleaners
and then some amazing stuff:

a tin that I left out of the picture for some reason, maybe because I was loading it in my pipe of Boston 1776 THE LABEL SAYS ONE OF 1776 TINS PRODUCED IN 1993!!! on the bottom of the tin it say 3/02 in pen. Not really sure about what it all means but this opened tin smells very very good

100 gr of Rattray's Marlin Flake which appears to be aged but I can't tell
8 ounces of Hearth and Home VA spice
8 ounces of Hearth and Home LJ Heart Virgina
100 gr of 2011 McClelland's Christmas cheer
1.5 ounces of sutliff blend no. 5
2 ounces of GL Pease Navigator (I needed this, my old tin is just running out)
2 ounces of GL Pease Haddo's delight

thanks so much Santa, you rock the casbah

Way to go Santa! Got to love those little dog pipe stands. I have a Scottie dog in brass that I am fond of.

We have a couple folks out of town. Hopefully they will post some pictures down the road as they get a chance. I think this year's Secret Santa is complete as far as deliveries. Some one holler if I lost track along the way. I think this was the biggest crowd that I have ever been involved with for Secret Santa. Quite a number of personal events, all seemed to turn out well. Family first, always! Your generosity is amazing. Merry Christmas, a happy New Year to all and, thank you ladies and gentlemen!  santa

Yes, thanks Carlos for organizing this.  I don't care what everyone else says about you, all those horrible, disgusting, derogatory things. Laughing   And even though they may be true,  I think you're OK! cheers

I'm so glad to hear that the Mrs. is doing well. If she's going through what I think she is, tell her to do half of what she feels up to doing. I have watched my mother and several others think they were feeling better and set themselves back a week or two by overdoing.

Just bidding you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  We did well.  A couple more days, then it will be time for me to hibernate until we reconvene next November.

Carlos, excellent job as always.   Thank you.

Had to go offline for an extra week, as this time of year is always fraught with deadlines and other such distractions. Home now and settling in for the holidays, so first order of business was checking in with the BoB--seems like everybody's been hit, so nicely done all around, Santas! And hope Mrs. Carlos and Mrs. Casino are doing well, and Ally's hip doesn't give him too much guff before he goes in hospital...We've got a pretty great community here, and it warms the cockles of my heart to see the camaraderie and friendship on display.

Ah, and as promised, here is the long belated, obligatory picture of the bounty bestowed on me by my secret santa:

2 ounces each of the following bulk tobaccos:
-SG Squadron Leader
-McClelland's Nightcap Match
-McClelland's EMP Match
-McClelland's Full Dark English
-F&K Sterling Balkan

And that be that, I think--I did just receive a book in the mail that didn't bear a return address, but I suspect that was an X-mas gift from a non-BoB friend. If I'm wrong and Santa sent me something else, set me straight and I'll be sure to amend this post. Otherwise, this be another Christmas come and not quite yet gone...happy holidays, everyone, and to all a good night!

Way to go Santa! I can still remember Secret Santa 2003 at the Knox Board. I got a tin of Squadron Leader in the mix. That tin really started me on my way into the Latakia blends. Great stuff!  santa
