Those are the best pipe moments! A wood fire, something good to drink, and music. Cool

That Old Fashion sounds good. My dad's favorite drink. My problem is finding a good club soda that doesn't go flat in the making.

Solve the club soda problem by not using it. What a Face

My recipe is:

  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 dashs bitters
  • 2 shots of bourbon
  • Shake in ice
  • Pour over ice
  • Orange rind

I also don't use club soda.

Tsp sugar, 5-6 dashes of bitters, 3oz bourbon, stir with ice.

First fire of the year is always the best! Typically when I brake out the Calvados.

Though, you have just reminded me of the pile of wood I have yet to split (which I promised myself I would address this summer...then didn't).

I have about 1/4 cord of split wood left from last season.

Also, Google tells me your temps are in the 70s this week...you southerners have a pretty low tolerance for cold!

When I moved down here 30 years ago I laughed at the low tolerance to cold. Growing up in CT and going to the frigid pool in summer and running 5 miles a day in winter I had some pretty thick blood. I can tell you that being down here the blood thins but life is much more enjoyable!
