PostSubject: MY WORLD MURPHY'S LAW   Mon Feb 17, 2014 8:12 pm

As some of you may know I'm a bit disable with disk problems but, I try not to let that keep me from doing what I have to do. Well today seeing the sun was shining I would take care of my p/u truck. You see it leaks pretty bad when it rains flooding the floor, so I went and got some RTV and while there seen that spray on rubber stuff so I grab a can of black. Thought that would be kinda neat to spray the roof where its leaking and make it look like a vinyl top. On the way home the seat busted and fell all the way back and then shortly after the stereo lost a speaker, par for the course I reckon. So when I came home I cleaned the top and got everything ready to do it and the RTV for the window seal. Everything went as planed until I ran out of masking tape to mask and paper it off. Well, I found some cheap stuff in the house and finished off the masking. Oh! and I forgot to tell you, I forgot about the 1st can of spray rubber in the cab and had already masked off everything. Yep, I had to undo the masking on the drivers side door so I could retrieve the spray can. Now you'd think that one can would take care of a mini truck's roof, well it left me short about a square foot (bastards). Off I went again in the woman's car to get more and masking tape. Upon returning I got to it and finished it off. Then I had to drill out the busted bolt that broke in the seat and replaced that. Then came what I thought was going to be an easy fix, the speaker that went out. Well, to make a too long of a story short 2 hours later after pulling the stereo out and putting back in and checking every wire, etc. etc. I got the stereo working again. Now as expected and the only thing that has been up to my expectations today is the screaming back pain. LOL! Yeah, well I'm sorta use to it now. At least something went as planed today.
And that is Murphy's Law my friends.  5)

When stuff like that starts to go south, my experience is that much more will follow. Glad I'm not the only one who goes through issues like this, since misery loves company!

 Wink

Hang in there Ron.

That's one helluva day, Cart! Better not park under any trees; with your luck you could get that leak fixed just in time fir a falling branch to pierce the roof.
Just be glad you don't have icicles in the cab like I've got in my jeep right now.

George, You trying to Jinx me!  Suspect That's were I park, under the trees, the old woman's got the covered parking for her shiny new car.
Hey, what happens happens, I only drive the poor thing twice a month. I had to put rat bait in it because it sits so long mice are trying to homestead it.
Heck, I've been wanting a full size since I got it anyway.

That be kinda hard Hermit, it's a mini truck, I mean a real mini truck, 1980.I'm only 5"7" and there's hardly any room for me in it and the seat can only fall back about 8 inches at tops.
Heck, that's the way most of these younger folk drive nowadays anyway.
Every time I get into my daughters truck I feel like I'm readying for blast off, they got the seat so leaned back. Almost as bad as some those low riders, don't know how they see out the windshield.

They don't. That's why they have the types of wrecks they have !! Two "homeboys" slammed into one another two days ago head-on right down the street from me 'cause they couldn't see out the front windshield !! Reminds me of the old diesel powered Datsun my dad used to have. He bought it used in the late 70s. Must have been one of the first minis on the market, smaller than any of the cars on the road in those days. The previous owner had added big rectangular mirrors, fake air horns, and amber lights across the roof to make it look like a semi tractor. Damn thing looked like a Tonka toy!

Yep! That's it all right but, mine only has the Traditional Truck mirrors(big rectangle) haven't got around to the stacks and running lights yet.  lol!

And would you believe my last truck was a Ford 250 4 wheel drive with 16" split rims and a 6" lift kit?
One thing good about this itty bitty truck is I can fall into it instead of falling out of it.
I had to install grab bars on the Ford to just get in it.

This is the only photo I have of the Toy.

Ron, I feel for you. I've got three dry discs in my lower back and have already had the four fused in my neck. Screaming pain? Oh yeah. I feel for ya.

Sounds like you and me have the same theme song. Plays in my head every time I crank the GMC.

Everything I own is just a little bit broken  Laughing

Thank you sir and you know what I mean by getting use to it then.
It gets to be almost normal in a sense.
Thankfully I haven't had the real laying on the floor screaming for God pain in a great while.
Hopefully the less I do the farther I'll be from it. Do you wobble also?
They told me there a nerve in my back that's always being pinched that makes me not able to stand upright without wobbling like your going to fall down. The more active I am the worse the wobble. Not a constant wobble but, after about 2-3 minutes standing it'll start.
Remember Webbles wobble but, don't fall down commercial? That's me except I fall down sometimes, not from the wobble yet, just from being a tangle foot by nature. lol!

I shuddered the first time I read that sentence.
I don't wobble but I do fall. Sometimes flat on my face with no warning whatever. Up one second, down the next. Embarrassing.
I fell last summer and almost broke my right leg. I'll take that pain over the laying on the floor screaming pain.
I've been put on the floor twice by pain. One was the fourth heart attack and the other was kidney stones.
I hope it never gets that bad on you again.

My wobbling is a bit embarrassing just in it's self sir, I get strange looks from some who don't know and think I'm drunk I think.
I've passed stones before and it aint no fun but, the laying on the floor screaming pain is much worse. If I never have it again, it'll be too soon sir.

I'm doing okay, my back is still talking to me. I just might have a virus that's affecting my back also because my smokes aren't tasting the same again. Suspect
But what the hey, I've still got a lot to be thankful for. If this is all that guy in the funny red suit can throw at me I laugh in his face.
