PostSubject: A small victory...   Mon Feb 24, 2014 6:37 pm

Well, this evening I submitted another paper, entitled 'Working as a change agent' as part of my Masters in Leadership. I figured the only way to celebrate such an event was to enjoy a pipe sat on the back step, contemplating the journey so far. Jolly enjoyable it was too. It also seemed appropriate to share such a moment with my new found friends and Brothers of the Briar. So here I am, sat in the quiet of a normally busy household, typing away with my pipe by my side, listening to the beat of my long case clock. Perfect. Good night chaps..!

Sounds great, Brother, and congrats on the Victory!  cheers

Sometimes everything just comes together and the stars & planets align at just the right time in a person's life. It makes the person truly reflect back and appreciate where they've been and what they have accomplished.

Hope you have as good a day tomorrow, Brother.  Cool

Thanks Rob In Mo. This studying caper has been a long haul but the end is now in sight. When it comes to reflecting, a pipe certainly seems to help the process! Stay safe.

Celebrating a major event is always best served with a pipe and a fine 'baccy Stick. Hope the rewards justify the time and effort.

Are you in University then? And where is your career track going with this paper? Business perhaps?

Right proper nosy sod, ain't I?

 Wink

Cheers,

RR

Nosey, or having an interest? I'd wager the 2nd...

Currently in full time employment and completing the masters through distance learning with the Open University.  It's pretty tough as I work long hours and have a young family.  My game plan is to finish the masters (Sep 14), throw in the towel with my current source of employment, and lecture in the field of leadership in a university.   With my background coupled with the masters I'm also attracted to the concept of organisational developement in a large organisation such as the NHS.  But hey, I've got to finish my masters first!

Sounds like a well thought out plan. All the best to you and yours and congrats on the paper.
