PostSubject: State Tobacco Stamps   Sat Mar 22, 2014 5:21 pm

Need a little help here, guys! Anybody know to find historical data on state tobacco stamps? I have come into a 7oz. tin of very old tobaccy. Only way to date it is by two New Hampshire tobacco tax stamps, one a 25-center and one an 8-center!!! Any help/advice would be most appreciated cheers Thank you in advance, FTRPLT

I assume you're sure there's no date on the stamp(s)? I had a mint Prince Albert can that had several stamps on it, one with the date of 1948, and it wasn't really that obvious to an eye not looking for it. (Lost the can during a recent move.)

I should have mentioned that I've "Googled" darn near every combination of verbiage I can think of in an effort to date (at least a time period as no date, obviously, is on the stamps) this tin. Thanx for the tips, I'll keep trying. FTRPLT
