PostSubject: Regarding Estate Pipes and Ebay   Thu Mar 27, 2014 5:01 pm

Hello all,

I want to share this experience I've had with a particular ebay seller and my hope is that it will be helpful for the rest of you. I had recently bid and won a Savinelli from seller 'pipestud' I was pretty pumped to get it and received it two days after making payment (those of you who use ebay at all will understand this is awesome). When I opened it up, I began to give it the once over as I was getting ready to do the S&A treatment. In wiping the outside with a damp cloth, a bit of what looked like tar came off the bottom and revealed a perfectly round hole.

While I can do some repairs this was obviously not what I had bid on or paid for; so I put in a refund request. Having had done battle with a number of sellers in the past over various products I was sort of resigned to it taking a while or not working out for me. However when I woke up this morning Steve had already written back and fully refunded my purchase price and shipping and sent a nice apology note. Classy move.

All in all, I will definitely be looking at his consignment shop as a further outlet for my business. It's nice to know that there are a few good gems out there in the sewer that Ebay can be.

Peter

Sorry about your pipe. Steve is a classy guy to work with. Done a lot of business with him, never had a problem.

While I was looking forward to this pipe, Steve's action more than made up for it. I've decided I'm just going send the money back his way once he posts something that catches my eye. What goes around should come around (in good ways too)

I've not yet had the experience of dealing with Steve Fallon, but his reputation certainly precedes him. I would expect nothing less than his complete attention to matters like this.

Glad it worked out for you Peter.

Cheers,

RR
