Marek Kando is a pipe maker who has posted here before, iirc.

To be honest with you I didn't recognize him as a member, so I did some background before I jumped the gun.

The administration panel shows his number of posts as 1, despite the three listed under his avatar.

Join date is aug 29, 2013 but from that date to present shows no posts from him. His post today was his first. Clicking on an unknown link from an unknown person nowdays is asking for trouble hence the link delete.

A PM was sent explaining the action and advising him participation in his survey would be nil due to the fear of receiving a virus or spam, and if he made himself known to the members results would be positive in the future.

Mark.

Back in January, he posted some pics of some pipes that he was offering for sale, one of which I really liked ... but, the post was deleted, probably for the pretty much the same reason that the link was removed today ...

Also, I seem to remember one of our fellow members here has bought one of his pipes and has posted pics of it ...

Marek makes some absolutely wonderful pipes, it would be awesome if he decided to post here more often, I absolutely adore the Tulip pipe he carved.

Marek is on facebook if anyone is interested in seeing his work, I don't want to post a link in case it is seen as being out of place but just search for Marek Kando facebook.  sunny

I suspect that English isn't his first language. And of course the American version of English can be even more difficult. That can make participation a challenge for some.

I'm jumpy. I'm still using Windows XP, which has no support since the 8th. Looks like he makes some fine pipes.

Understandable Richard. sunny

It's frustrating how language barriers are still distancing some of us in this modern age of computers, absolute rotten shame when a pipe maker as capable as Marek may turn from us because of language barriers.  Crying or Very sad

Yeah english is not my primary language, but i think i can speak it just enough.
I do understand your concerns with the link, nothing I can do with it, but I think google has good reputation and when you see googles url you have nothing to be afraid of (maybe im wrong)

Also its hard for me to post on forums, because im more reader than poster, and I often think i do not have anything valuable to add in.

Also thank you that you like my pipes.

My presence here is not because I have anything valuable to offer, but to learn from what others have to say ... I'm confident that your input would add greatly to my experience here and to others of the forum as well.

Please consider this an invitation to participate more ...

Just giving members the opportunity of getting to know you and possibly even becoming your friend is more than any community could ask of anyone, for my part you are very welcome here and I personally would like very much to know you better.  sunny

Well, I took the survey but I'm not sure what it illuminates. If I buy a "quality" pipe, I want it all: the grain, drilling, materials, conception, execution, looks, performance, etc. I suppose it might be useful for advertising, i.e. those things you might want to stress. But who advertises artisan pipes? I was surprised by the preference for classic shapes, especially among this crowd.

It takes a lot of inner greatness to be able to say that in public Mark, to be able to put ones pride aside and be so humble is not so common a thing and a lot of people just don't have that sort of purity in them, I'm impressed, you are clearly a good man.  sunny

Now just hope I can make another 30 pages in 10 days Very Happy.

And yes Richard, everything should me make perfect on pipe. But goal of my work is to use Voice of Customer to identify critical parts on product, and then use QFD system to improve it.

That's because half the English language isn't English at all.
It's French, Spanish, German, Swedish, etc.etc. put all in one.
