Well folks, after 4 years of hard work, and 17 total straight years in school, it looks like I'm graduating in about two weeks. I'll have a bachelor's of business administration in computer information systems, and I've(for the time being) accepted a full time offer at the company I'm currently at.

I can tell you that this last year and half or so has definitely been made much better with you fine folks here on the forum in my life! Thanks for everything!

Great job, Bob. Studying can be a long old road so I'm made up for you. Well done for sticking with it. Now, what are you going to smoke to celebrate...?

Thank you!! I've been thinking about getting a pipe... don't know what I'd get just yet  pirat

I've got a tin of Nording's Foxhound that I've been sitting on for 3 years, just for this occasion that I'm probably going to hop in to... I also picked up a tin of Smyrna No.1, so probably that too! I haven't made up my mind yet really. Razz

Either way, it's going to be a glorious event for smoking!

Congrats on finishing!

I myself finish up next May, though mine is a Masters. I plan on continuing further though. I must be a glutton for punishment.

Great news WB. Including and especially you are retaining your present position. Hope the compensation is commensurate with your degree.

Cheers,

Congrats man. I definitely don't miss those days of schooling...except for the days of chocolate milk and graham crackers in kindergarten, followed by a nap on on my own special rug in the afternoon. Those were the good 'ol days.

FWIW, I saw a job survey yesterday and IT was #2 for expected job growth. You showed good thinking by not getting liberal arts degree.  affraid

Thanks, guys!! I appreciate it!

Talking about liberal arts.... I burned my first semester of college as a music education major.  Shocked

I changed my mind after I realized that I wouldn't graduate for 5 years, into a job market that was extremely depressed, with super high hours and low wages. I didn't love it enough for that. Razz

I do have a job in my field! I can honestly say I'm pretty shocked, and I'm even more shocked that I can pretty much go almost anywhere with this degree. It's pretty awesome.
