Welcome!

I'm from Tucson originally. We'll be up this summer for a visit.  Cool

Yes, I traded the afternoon showers in Tucson for the all-day deluges here...

Where in town do you live? My mom lives up by Swan and Skyline, and my dad has a place down in Sonoita.

Welcome from another newb. I did ten years in Tucson, my son was born at St. Joseph's, and my Mother in law is up from Tucson for a visit to get out of the heat but is heading back on Thursday. I lived there from '77 to '87.

Pleased to meet you, Robj and pepesdad. Yes Tucson is home to some great Mexican food: Michas, Mi Nidito
and La Fuerte come to mind. I grew up here, left during the 1980s and moved Back in 2002. I have a lifelong love affair with the Sonoran desert and this city. This place gets in a mans blood, for sure!

Welcome sir! I use to have a run to Tucson 3 times a week and one to Phoenix.
I remember all to well the Rains, dust storms and specially the heat...............
every time I opened the cab door it hit me in the face.
My daughter lives in Fort Mohave, not much different there, ya either love it or ya hate it.

Hey Cartaphilus! Yes the heat does require a mental adjustment to cope with...but I worked a summer in Houston doing construction work and every day that month seemed like the temperature was 95° with matching humidity! My Lord that was tough! I swore that if I survived to see Arizona again I'd never ever curse our summertime weather again!

The humidity can get a bit bad here in Texas but, I'll never have to worry about bursting into flames by just opening the trucks door.
Just fun'en with ya sir, testing you humor so to speak. Welcome aboard. Wink
