Vote for your favorite notebook/journal character...

Putting together a pipe notebook/journal item as one of my bombs for our target this month...need you arty types to help me pick an avatar-like character as my addition to the blank pages, here and there in the thing, using pen & ink.

Just go along with it. Pick one. PM your pick to me.

Dinosaur (with lotsa teeth...not like Barney)
Fish (steam punk versions)
Moonlight Foxes (like Japanese folk tale)
Insects (either natural of Sci Fi versions)
Spirits (as Studio Ghibli type characters)
Sea Monster (you know...lotsa tenticles)
Incoming B-25 Bomber(s)
Robots from beyond the deep (whatever)

That should be enough.

Pick one & PM me, so no he hijacking will occur, etc.

The grizzled Fokker pilot heard the flutter of wings and looked up from the flight maps as a pigeon landed on his table. "What have we here?" he mumbled to himself. Attached to the leg of the bird was a small tube. "Well, I guess that WarlockBob thought it would be funny to send this one by carrier pigeon. Well, I had better figure out who this month's target is." The old timer opened the tube, retrieved the tiny roll of paper, grabbed his pipe and a magnifying glass for figuring out the tiny writing. "What's this?!" He exclaimed! "Why that buzzard decided to encode it in Morse Code! This calls for a stiff drink, a bigger bowl of tobacco, and my decoder book!" Off the pilot trudged to his library to find his old boy scout manual with the Morse code listed. After digging around for a few, he pulled out a book and blew a large cloud of dust off the cover. "Yup, that's the one I be needin' for sure. Now to figure out what this new fella who calls himself a squadron leader is so secretive about." After two glasses of prime whiskey on the rocks and a large two-hour bowl, the bleary-eyed pilot finally got it translated! As he read the message, he stared down in disbelief and rubbed his bloodshot eyes. "Drink more Ovaltine!?!? What in the blazes is this? Ba Humbug! I'll just send something to whoever I feel like it this month, and darn the consequences! I will have to have words with that young gun!" He got up and wrote a hasty note and put it back in the tube on the pigeon's leg. "Off with you, you mangy bird! Go find your master and tell him I got my orders!"

Nice.

Of course, you could have just asked the bird. That is, if you would have understood its pidgeon English.

Long months suck for things like this.... Everyone has had their orders for a while now, there's been no activity for a week, and we have another week to go before we really get this going....

Does anyone else feel this way? I always have
