This would be hilarious if it was on a tele show mocking bureaucracy.

Bear in mind this is 19 months of dealing with this type stupidity.

Since the Trial Implant Work-Comp has been stalling, heavily. One of the recent crazy things (pun intended) they've done is send me for a psyche eval... To make sure I'm not insane.
So that makes 8 different doctors, if I'm counting correctly, they've sent me to at this point, all have told them the exact same thing but somehow I'm crazy....

Well Friday we got the word that all we were waiting for was a signature the Doc forgot to put on a form. The case worker had repeatedly sent the paperwork in but it kept getting kicked back inter-office for lack of a signature. The Mrs has performed miracle tracing people down across multiple offices for multiple companies. Well.. She finally got the right paper in the right office and the Doctor looks at it and guess what? He's already signed it... The signature we were waiting for belonged to the lady that sent me to the shrink, my case worker.

I'd be laughing right now but work comp decided there was another issue we had to work through before they'd approve me.

Don't you have a laywer yet?

Kentucky work comp ombudsman, worth a try. Make a claim of harrasment causing additional suffering and denial of civil rights.

Sounds like you have paid in too much over the years, and been too productive for them. I suppose they really hate to lose you, and start giving your doctors the money back.

Yeah, I'm with Puff, I would get a lawyer with a solid track record all over this one.

I've checked with a lawyer near the beginning, and a different one later on. They've told me the same thing "as long as they are paying the checks, filling the prescriptions, and not outright denying coverage why would you want to pay me $25,000".

It's a valid point. Under Ky law they can keep me on total temporary and seeing doctor after Doctor until the day I die. Theoretically it hurts them. They pay me at a higher rate, are paying for more doctors and more medicine that otherwise needed, etc etc etc.

If you read what an ombudsman does he assist in paperwork gathering, and basically sets up appointments for the worker. Which is all a lawyer could do at this point. The only thing I can sue anyone for at this point is gross negligence and in Kentucky that requires more than it does in California..

The funniest thing is this and the VA system is what people are asking for with a single payer system. Big Government controlling your medicine is no better than big corporation controlling it.
I'd rattle on about how we need to go back to the 'family doctor' that kicks big cases up to the big guys but we've sued to the point a runny nose is a big case..
I'm glad I don't have to fix the world.

Sounds almost Kafkaesque! LOL.

I remember dealing with Kaiser Permanente years ago, and had a similar experience. You keep getting sent back to some other person/office/signature, and you can't ever pass GO. Forget the phone system...it's designed to discourage you. Nobody's EVER there. Leve a message and nobody ever gets back to you. It reminds me of the insurance company story a few years back, ehere it was the policy to reject every single first claim that came through. Not because they wouldn't cover it, but just to give people the runaround with the hope they'd give up out of frustration.

F&%^$ Evil or Very Mad

Hang in there bro. Yes, we know you're crazy, but you still deserve the treatment you're garanteed! lol!
