Gotta say that it's great to smell French fries on the breeze.

Sigh..........

Debriefing and then back to the Ozarks by thanksgiving with weather permitting. It'll be nice to get back in my comfy clothes.....

Did I miss anything?

I miss my tin of Blackwoods flake. And my long stemmed pipes. I will say that my falcon pipe held up well to continuous abuse, though I will be looking for a new bowl eventually. Funky cheap stuff lat heavy was flowing through it.

Man, for a big fatty bowl of mcclellands two grand right about now.........

Hell, I'd even smoke a cherry aro, who am I kidding.....

Home by thanksgiving, weather permitting. LRAFB is pretty tight right now and I'm almost thinking about paying someone to bring in something from the local B&M. Maybe a 30 dollar tin of Christmas Cheer. Or a Gawith rope....

Ozzy, it's been business as usual here. You didn't miss anything noteworthy.

But what have you been up to?

Cheers,

RR

Various duties, mostly consulting and training. Semi retirement suggests more "semi" than "retirement".

Sigh.....

Miss my beard, but it'll grow back, right?

A lot of pensive folks out there waiting for the other shoe to drop. Ready to get back in the forest.

Not quite, but got to play with some of the newer toys. And teach some old dog tricks to the pups. Mostly how to not rely on the new toys.

Great to hear you are back safely Ozzy! Little Rock has a nice old tobacconist location SW of the downtown area close to the university, with a bunch of friendly regulars that hang out there.

There is one off in a strip mall I went to that word has it was a Tinder Box. Comfy place and has bought a couple of my boxed set pipes in the past. Friendly folks with a great selection...

Maybe that's the one? Off of university avenue?

Yep, that's the one! Nice selection of pipes and tobaccos, and an ample humidor. First time I walked thru the door, those guys had me sitting right in the middle like I was a regular every Saturday. It's been a couple years since I was there. I need to drop back in again.
