Scored this Kaywoodie, it's a push, removable stinger! It says Bond Street and it's made in london and has the KW logo on the stem. From what i can gather, the London Kaywoodie's were made in partnership with comoy's. I'm not 100% on this as there is almost zero info. Anyone have any info for me? Real nice and unsmoked, got at an amazing price. It's the perfect straight billiard in my opinion.

Thanks Juan, I like pipes of this style so I was happy to find a KW like this. Not sure when it was made though, if it's from the 40's or 50's it could be a very amazing smoker but 60's and after (which it likely is) and I think KW quality went down. The guy who sold it to me said Bond Street was a KW second, but it has the KW logo so I don't know. It is an interesting pipe for sure

Well I think I won the lottery. I scored an unsmoked KBB Kaywoodie, it has the aluminum inner tube

That is cool! I had to look up the English Kaywoodie info, I don't encounter them at all.

Chris' PIpe Pages wrote:
English Kaywoodies. All of the catalogs reviewed in this research contained the following copyright notification: Printed in U.S.A., Kaufmann Bros. and Bondy, Inc., New York and London. Kaywoodie Pipe cases and smoker's accessories were also marked with "New York and London". The catalogs, however, do not present any information concerning Kaywoodie's London operations, or how the English Kaywoodies might have differed from those manufactured and marketed in the U.S. Lowndes notes that he has several English Kaywoodies acquired in Vaduz and Zurich. English Kaywoodies are now made by Oppenheimer pipes. Lowndes notes that English Kaywoodies with the "screw-in bit" come in Ruby Grain, Custom Grain, Standard, and Relief Grain grades. The traditional push-bit models come in Continental Plain and Relief, London Made, Minaret, Airway Polished No. 707, and Lightweight grades. Prices in 1985 ranged from 9.50 (pounds) to 26.00 (pounds). Lowndes notes that the Super Star was a special edition English Kaywoodie made of finest briar with a handmade silver band. Lowndes has two: one from Zurich with a large white-outlined logo, and beautifully cased; and one in walnut finish with the black-in-white logo. A recent catalog shows the Super Star without a band and the ordinary small white logo. A 1985 letter from Oppenheimer states that the black-in-white logo has been discontinued and only the regular white logo is now used.

Thanks I'm guessing this one is pretty early...maybe 1920's or earlier? But I really have n basis for that, it;s a push stem, no stinger, has the aluminum tube like dunhills. I've never seen the KBB pipe polish before and can;t find any reference to it online. It's very cool, like a piece of history. The pipe sock is very cute, its purple and has a KW snap and everything

That box does scream 20s-30's. Most interesting little tub of polish too. Hopefully you can find more information about it.

Yea that;s Kaufmann brothers & Bondy or KBB they started as a pipe shop on Bowery where they made pipes. A KBB was always a NY company as far I can tell

Any markings on it? shape number, anything to go on? There's some "hidden" resources regarding dating etc.

Value is funny.... I mean, if you collect super rare kaywoodies maybe it's worth 400 bucks.... if you don't... it ain't.

I saw an unsmoked 11b go on ebay for 200. And that's cuz I didn't bid. It was a rare shape from a long while back, and they only made it for a few years (a large oom paul). Bidding war and maybe that thing goes for 300? Dunno.

Great pipe though, what a nice collectible.

Scroll down this "master list" to "Early Kaywoodie"   you'll see some similarities.

What a great pipe to own!

Thanks I got Lucky. I love the Kaywoodie Cloverleaf. It's too bad the push ten's are so hard to find. I'll have to pull it out and check the stamp

Yeah I never got along with the drinkless fitment. I'd own a lot more woodies if I did.

Will just keep my eyes out for that unsmoked Paul Bunyan that is sure to turn up soon.
