Think you understood Prince? Think he was a pop singer with a little better than average vocals?

Watch this.. When you get your jaw off the ground come back and talk to me. Lol.

Yeah, a friend shot me that last night and I watched. Pretty cool, and I say this as someone who didn't know who the hell Prince was, and who has loathed pop music of any kind since hearing his first symphony.

He was an extremely talented guy. That generations best unknown known guys if that makes any sense at all.

I saw a reference to that on another board, but watched it here for the first time. Gotta admit the guy had some chops. Rather flashy, but that's what the tune needed at that point.

Really tight band too. All-star line-up, hard to go wrong with that. Wasn't that Harrison's son on guitar? The resemblance is remarkable.

Those guys sure did that tune the justice it deserved. The first soloist pretty much nailed the lead and tone that Clapton had for the original. Then Prince kicked it up a notch or three.

Truth be told, I was never into his stuff. Only heard whatever was on the radio and it didn't appeal. Which is not to say that he wasn't very talented. Thanks for posting Peebee.

Cheers,

RR
