I really like those thick walls on your pipes. They my add a little weight but having a pipe that won't burn your hand while smoking more than makes up for the small addition of weight in my opinion. Nice job on the checker board too. That little chick will be ready for the fryer in a couple of months. Allowing it to free range will make it very tasty. Smile

Thanks AJ!

Some pipe bowls have thicker walls than others, it just depends on where my mind wanders, what shapes I'm after, etc.. I kind of like thinner walls, not so much for weight, but to let me know to slow down my puffing...

The chickens here are all free range. They keep the bugs in check that way and seem much healthier than penned up ones. No missing feathers here. I've seen plenty where they are in penned yards and have bald backs. Very sad. As far as these chicks going in the fryer, if they are hens they will lay eggs. I usually keep one rooster, the others are destined for the pot. And yes, they actually have flavours. Shocked me the first time I ate one. Way different than store bought.

I like to think it suits me living 'beyond the pale'. I put in a lot of time doing my civic duties and effort in accommodating society's mores.
