OK all VaPer Lovers need to pay attention. HU Tobacco has a VaPer that demands attention and rewards you with what I believe to be one of the finest pipe smoking experiences you'll ever have. I got a 100g tin of Director's Cut in a deal recently and I'm blown away by this blend. It's made from Burley, Kentucky, Perique, and Virginia tobacco. The cut is small coins and curly cut pieces that are easily packed. The coins have no Cavendish. The center portion is Perique. Every puff delivers multiple flavors that are well balanced. From beginning to end the flavor is full, robust, and delicious. There is are no harsh spots and no bite. For a more comprehensive review check out what Jim Inks has posted on the Tobacco Reviews site. Not many blends make me want to scream it's characteristics from the mountain top but this one will really make you sit up and pay attention to it's greatness. Hans Wiedemann is an amazing talented blender. BTW Jim rated this as a Four Star blend. That alone should peak your interest. Smile

I got a tin of HU Louisiana Broken not too long ago and smoked the whole dadburn thing before I knew it, needless to say it was also mighty good.
I'll have to give directors cut a try though. Wink

I have a tin of this coming up for 3 years old, I'm leaving it alone for at least another 3.
Ron's right about Louisianna Flake as well, great stuff and a must try for those yet uninitiated.

Directors cut is a great blend. Smoked about 5 or 6 of Hans blends and they are all top notch. Great guy to deal with too.

Rande 7 100g tins cost me right at $20.00. Everything is shipped via DHL. They seem to have some contract with the German Government to handle International shipments. I had asked Hans if there was any other way it could be shipped such as their PO and he said that DHL was their local PO for shipping over seas. Smile

It appears that the prices include that 20% V.A.T tax for Euro folks.

Is the price reduced by that amount for U.S. buyers?

Thanks Jim for that information. I was pretty sure that I didn't have to pay the tax but at the moment I couldn't be positive. Smile

DHL is a GREAT shipper !! Whenever I got pens from overseas I always used 'em !! DON'T EVER use the Italian PO system ! Stuff regularly does not make it here from there using them. Same for the French !! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I'm going to have to try those blends out, especially the Louisiana flake. The only HU tobacco I've had is Ropers Roundels. It's a coin cut similar to Escudo and is a vapercav. A similar flavour profile to Escudo as well but a bit creamier due to the cav. In fact I've switched allegiances from good old Escudo to RR and think the $20 for a 100g tin from SP is great value for money.

Gosh, another great blend to get stuck into. And it's a VaPer too.

AJ, have you enjoyed SJF yet, and if so how does it differ? SJF is one of my all time favourite blends.

I really enjoy SJF and have about a dozen tins in my stash. The flavor profile in Director's Cut is more complex, has a bit more spice, and to me it's considerably sweeter. Being curly cut with very small coins it's simpler to load your pipe and doesn't require any drying time. As good as SJF is I'd choose DC if I could only have one. Smile

High praise indeed AJ. I like the idea of the additional sweetness and spice. And with that another 'baccy is added to the list.

Thanks AJ!
