I wouldn't mind a cap made from a possum pelt but my Home Owners Association By-Laws prohibit possums and coons in our neighborhood either dead or alive. Sad

Laughing Pretty much the only way we see them around here. Ever run over one? Why is it that they feel like you just ran over a rock the same size, as opposed to running over a rabbit that you barely feel? Are they that tough? Can you eat them? I am reminded now of the Beverly Hillbillies' Granny making "possum foot stew." Yum!

Yes, they are really tough. To kill, to chew, all that. I have to deal with them quite often here, never thought to do much processing of them however. Did a pelt once, didn't like the feel of it. Cooked some of it, tasted like squirrel. Not my favorite dish either. If push came to shove, sure, but my freezers are full of other dead animal flesh I prefer to ingest.

The pelt turned out nice though, Arky. Well done!
