All

My new instrumental Surf album CD is now ready and available. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and would like to offer it to any and all here on BoB.

It's a 2-CD collection of 24 all original Surf tunes I wrote that takes me back to my roots when I was coming up in the 60's as a budding picker. I cut my guitar teeth on this kind of stuff as my first instructor taught me all sorts of material from the Ventures, the Surfaris, Dick Dale, etc. Always loved that stuff.

The mixes are really good, and we set out to achieve more of a live sound in the studio as though the musicians are all playing together even though the tracks were cut independently. I believe we succeeded at that goal.

There's no charge for this, I'll send it to you gratis as a thank you for all the great exchanges we've had on this forum. I hasten to add I ask or expect nothing in return, so please don't feel obligated to send me anything - no pipe weed, no nothing! Perhaps in due course you could lmk what you thought as I value all feedback whether good or otherwise.

If you'd like to receive this, simply pm me with your mailing address and I'll get it out asap. And for those that don't have the ability to play those funny little round things, I'll be putting this up on my website for free downloads in a week or two and will post when that's available.

Merry Christmas from the dude of brew!

I rec'd a copy just after the holiday, it was cold and rainy here in Maryland, in other words, a night screaming for some Surf!
I'm a big fan of this genre of music and this is an excellent recording.
My wife asked "what are you playing" as I inserted the CD. When I said a surf CD made by one of my pipe buddies, she groaned.
But, by the second track, she said "thats pretty cool"!
It does have a live feel to it - something not always capture in this genre (on CD anyway).
I have a big library of surf that gets played around the pool in summer (it is coming, right???). These tracks will be added to the mix and it will be fun to say "I know this guy!".
Thanks for being so thoughtful.
