well, if this gets enough traction, please count me in! There are plenty of direct flights from here to Portland.

I would absolutely be okay with a PNW meetup! It sounds like a wonderful time to me!

Maybe later in the Spring.

Want to be sure all threats of ice storms are over.

Check out this link to some footage of our local freeway during the last one...

June was good last year. Seems I might be hauling back a grandchild for the summer this year too. He wants to hang out with grandpa in the forest.....

That's actually pretty hard to watch... The first two or three weren't so bad but then the cars started to come upon it with some speed. Eeeek!

Depending on what time of year and how my financial situation is at that time, I would be interested in this shindig! The wifey gets a 5 day weekend each month and we have never been to Portland before...

Yeah, coming from a place that regularly gets winter weather to up here, and getting to watch some of that firsthand was nerve-wracking.

Portland is preeeeeettty awesome! Just saying. geek

As long as I can find a place to crash for the night, I'll be there folks. Don't care if it's floor space with a sleeping bag or whatever. I might even bring down some Snoqualmie ales!

No official development, yet! But, now that summer is upon us, I think it's high time to plan. What say you, BH?

I'm stuck in the hopefully last phase of a major remodel here. Just got bathroom plumbing in yesterday as well as dishwasher and water to the fridge. Whew. Now on to scraping old wallpaper and then prime and paint the whole inside. Everything is still stacked in the middle of all but the kitchen and family room. Yuk. I'm slow. So I can't say when I'll be done - plus my daughter moved back in a few weeks ago til she finished her degree...Fall maybe. Thus I can't host anyone here. No place to put 'em.

I could very likely attend something though. That would be easy.

Understandable, I get that!

I've got room for a couple (have a queen sized pull out couch, and a queen sized air mattress), but I can't support anyone with cat allergies. We have a few cats, so that wouldn't work out too well.

There's still a few places in Portland proper that are pipe-friendly, that I tend to frequent. If we can peg down a general date/time that would work for some folks, I can start making arrangements and set up a little event.

I know Fatman, BH, myself, Fumus, and Brewdude are all in the area and interested, though Fatman may be closer pretty soon! Kaitlyn was also interested, but we'd need to plan things out pretty far in advance, since she's on the wrong coast. Wink

We could shoot for late summer/early fall?

I'm gone for a week mid-September (18th - 25th). Other than that just one long weekend out of town.

Looks like I'm going to be in Oregon City on the 18th and 19th of August for a family wedding, may be able to stretch it out one more day and come home on the 20th. Don't know if any of that would work for anyone else, but thought I'd throw it out there. afro

I'd love to...but attending family reunion functions might be required of me. Will have to play it by ear. Specific timing might make a difference.

Welp, I got good news and I have bad news! The dates posted for meeting up are perfect, that's the other half's 5 day weekend, WOOP! Bad news is that it's a 40 hour drive one way... mmmmm. I'm willing to take on a 40 hour drive (give or take, but usually give because cars suck). For a 5 day weekend, two days traveling one way and two days traveling back isn't wise. Normally I would be completely in to just buy plane tickets but the other half has been forcefully "off" for a month. The factory is shut down for maintenance and adding a new vehicle to the BMW line. We get paid for part of it but not all of it.

Alas, that may be a long explanation but I wanted you fellows to know that I would surely be there if I could!
