Arky, you made yourself a nice looking nosewarmer. Put some mineral oil and/or bee's wax on the wood. Enjoy cheerscheerscheers

Got to keep grinding away. Plenty of wood around you, some of the neighbors might be able to part with some nice cured cordwood you can practice with. Or walk the forest and grab some dead stuff. If the projects don't pan out, they make great fire starter....

I can't see in the picture too well on my tablet, but it looks like you used an aggressive spade bit. Try taking your grinder and removing those points. Just a thought, I may be seeing it wrong....

Looks like the bowl has a crack. Might consider making the walls thicker. Be cooler in the hand that way too. But your design is yours. Don't mean to horn in.

Just so one of the little chewers doesn't rear up its buggy little head and spit sawdust in yer eye when you're trying to light the pipe.

I don't have a spade bit. I use a half inch standard drill bit and coil up sandpaper and twist. (like I showed you). But then again, I'm not really serious about making pipes, it's more play. As far as inner chamber, I figure if you can get a tamper in there, it works, though it'll be a short smoke. ( Smaller chambers also don't have time to get hot enough to burn out). For your reference, check out pipes for sale. Most vendors will tell you inner and outer diameters, depth, over all length, all that. Use those measurements as a guide.
