One of Savinelli's most popular shapes, is my understanding--and this is priced for just a tad more than the better Savs. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had unlimited funds and didn't already have one near identical (not a Sav). Love how the logo "plaque" was handled. So many blasts are ruined by this annoying island, some quite large and ugly. But then, I hate license plates on cars too, and for the same reasons.

Again, not exactly shocked to the core Ron.

This pipe really does it for me. Its profile is just bang on. I like authors in general but this little chubby number with its blast finish looks like it would feel perfect in the hand - this is a big part of piping for me, it's got to feel right in the hand as I'm not a clencher. Just loving the stamp detail on the bottom too; very well executed Ron.

[sighs] Good luck little fella. Go and make your new owner a happy chappy.

Thank you Stick and Jesse

As far as getting better I don't know, maybe just luckier? We'll see how the next one turns out.
I'm still not convinced I know what I'm doing.

Awright, I know alla you's jus itchin' to learn who snagged this lil' beauty an' I ain't one to disappoint......

......t'was none other than lil' ol' me (like that's any surprise, right?)

Having owned 4 other RD pipes, one of which was a commission, when Ron presented this one here for sale I was all aflutter. I mean, he ticked all the right boxes for me-

Shape: Author - check
Blast with ring grain apparent - check
Red Cumberland stem - check
Wide bit and button - check
Precise drilling and engineering - check
Overall presentation and feel in the hand - check and double check.
CS - check and triple check.

Here's what I just told Ron-

Just landed Ron, and I believe you've outdone yourself on this one! The blast is superb, and the ring grain just drips in waves. I can get lost in it while studying it!

All the proportions are spot on, great feel in the hand, love the cumberland stem including and especially the wide button. One of my most favourite shapes too.

You hit it right outta the park with this pardner, and I'm very thankful to be able to snag it. Well done my friend!

I love you  cheers  sunny

All to say that when Ron posts a pipe be ready to act upon it. It'll become one of your go-to's in short order. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Basketball

Cheers,

RR

RPs are great smoking pipes. I would say it's a good thing you jumped when you did, Rande. Congratulations.

Absolutely beautiful pipe. Drooling, I almost pulled the trigger, but I have three Savs of that style (not a blasts, though). One of these days though...
