PostSubject: Moving house   Mon Apr 17, 2017 12:26 am

Got home the other day to a notice to vacate from my real estate agent. So I've got just under 90 days to find a new place to rent and move in. A bit disappointed I'll lose my lovely view when piping on my back verandah but looking forward to finding the appeals of a new house.

Cheers

Tim

Sorry to hear that sir! Best wishes on your quest for new accommodations! Are you looking to keep in the same school district? Closer to work? The coast?

Cheers Thanks Bob, looking to keep around the area if possible.

I'm pretty blest, we're right on the coast, currently got water views and my daughter's school and my work are fifteen minutes away. I've also a little time up my sleeve, so I can be a little picky about new accommodation.

Cheers

Update.

Just put in an application today on a house. Plenty of room inside and out. A veggie patch and multiple fruit and nut trees. It even has a carpeted area to smoke in outdoorsish which is enclosed on three sides and flyscreen on the other. Plus it's cheaper than what I'm currently paying.

Cheers

Will definitely get pics up guys. I certainly am blessed with this one Cart, I forgot to mention the kitchen is recently renovated with a huge gas stove and double ovens. A major step up from what I've currently got.

Due to a slow agent the lease signing won't happen till Wednesday.

Of course, I packed all my tins and jars of baccy except some Quiet Nights and some 2015 away carefully in boxes. Separated the jars with cardoard etc. then taped up the boxes. Now of course I only want to smoke what is in the boxes.

Gotta love human nature. Surprised

Finally gotten a moment to post something more than a quick note. Signed the lease last Wednesday and will move in next weekend. Really glad about the kitchen, it's been a long time since I've had the pleasure of using such a large stove.

Also found out why it's so cheap, the estate agent forgot to mention that the place was bought to be demolished and redeveloped which will happen sometime in the next twenty four months. So we'll see what the future holds.

5)

Well, there was once a place I lived in that was slated for demolition to make room for a 7 house development "any time", but they signed a year lease. Turned out to be almost 8 years, and then I was the one to give notice and move. Couldn't beat the price of the rent (about half of the norm) and it never went up.

No worries though, eh? Someone is looking out for you, the new place might only be a lifeboat until something better comes along, but it's better than nothing!

Cheers!!cheers

lol!

(Hey, I'd have taken it, too. Guess you won't have to worry about getting your deposit back without deductions for this and that.)

Thanks guys, the lifeboat metaphor works well for me Wiz. Richard, that's exactly what the agent said, I'll get all my bond whenever I move on.

Finally pics as promised, been the first nice weekend to take photos since I moved.

Here's the altar to tobacco:

The view from my smoking lounge:

Various fruit and nut trees:

And the veggie patch prior to our replanting it yesterday:

The leeks you can see in the foreground are really sweet and delicious.

Cheers all,

Maybe later.......Rolling Eyes

Yup, looking great sir!

Looks a bit lush and exotic to me. Whatcha got there for critters? Anything nasty? Hate to hear of you taken by a black mamba or crocodile.

Sadly it's in the suburbs Richard, so just plenty of birds. The last place had a resident green tree snake, goannas and echidnas but it was far more in the bush than the new place. However I'm now in lunting distance of some great food places which the old place lacked, I've already put on a couple of kilos since moving in. Smile

Cheers

Tim, that looks like a very agreeable space and one in which I'd be very happy. Hope it all pans out and that you can also put down some roots for a while!

Keep us updated with more pics as they come available.

Cool

Cheers,

RR
