It's all made by C&D anyway. If you like a va per flake, you should check out exhausted rooster from them. That's not on the block I think

The rooster is on the block... I think that came out in '11. I have 2 tins of it that I've yet to crack.

I know it's all made by C&D which is why I don't get how their flakes or broken Flake rather is a perfect cut but the ribbon looks like cheeed up oatmeal... exaggeration but you get my drift.

Hopefully with the FDA postponement we won't suffer the loss of our favorite tobaccos along with toilets that don't flush.

Any and all recommendations to blends like 965 and NIghtcap would be greatly appreciated as, like i said, i just started branching out.

Thanks.

If you're still looking, GL Pease Westminster and Blackpoint are stout English blends that are reasonable replacements for Nightcap and 965. Not "match" blend by any stretch, but in a similar vein and very, very good.

If you're looking for something VERY similar to 965, I'd recommend Beck's Old Limey Bastard (available at 4noggins).

...and for the folks who have been here a while, mentioning Old Limey Bastard makes me wonder whatever happened to LIPIPE.

Finally got my hands on some McConnell scotch cake. I could only order two tins though. Smoked a pipe of it last night. Man I missed this blend.
