BTW, thanks for the link to Armstrong & Miller. I first found out about Ben Miller in a roundabout way, via Death In Paradise. Delighted to find that his comedy stuff is just as deadpan as his "detectivating".

One of my most favourite Monty Python sketches your Lordship.

Along with others that include The Ministry of Silly Walks, The Dead Parrot, The Lumberjack, The Fish Slap Dance, The Argument Clinic, and several others I can't name just now. Comedic geniuses, all of 'em!

Cheers,

RR

I've been off grid again for a few weeks, this time due to our annual family holiday. Now that we've returned it occurred to me that I should have placed a post on the BoB in case folks were wondering if I'd ditched in the sea, or similar. I'll sort that next time I'm away for a while.

Had a great holiday though in Pembrokeshire here in the UK despite some awful weather. Blinkin' typical! We've had a heat wave here at the beginning of the summer and the weather was good after, but as soon as we go on holiday it starts to rain! We had a few good days though and got the board off the van for a few days of surfing. My young son even managed to get to his feet on his first attempt on my longboard which was awesome to see. Our second week was camping in our large family tent on a fantastic site that I found. There's a story to tell here that I'll share in another thread, but a clue is 'A bridge too far'. Those of you who know me fairly well can probably work out what it's about.

Still, it's good to be home again with a few more family days off. Looking through the posts it looks like I've got lots of catching up to do!

Eh up Stick me ol' mate. Good to see you back on the board (BoB that is) and aye, I reckoned you had gone on holiday or summat. And I'll be interested to hear your story when you have the time.

Cheers,

RR

Oh yeah, Stick.  Remember to do this.  Yes, Stick is going to be reading the board as a guest for a while.  Same problem.  Same solution apparently.  I wish they would fix this.

So if you need to tell Stick something, you can PM me and I will email him.

Briefly, what happens is, his Internet provider uses a rotation IP address scheme that uses a new IP at just about every opportunity. So, some rule in the Forumotion software says that if you use too many IP addresses, then you must be a spammer and therefore get locked out. 5)

Supposedly fixed.  The Forumotion guys posted this.

They should clear the cookies as well.

I emailed Stick this info.  Hope it works.  They have had a number of failures in fixing it.

Current status:

Bouncing PM's back and forth with the help forum people.  The people fixing the problem are in France.  Almost the end of the business day there.  At least, I do not think they work around the clock.

Stick, I sent you an email. But in case you are reading this offline.

Clear your cache. Cookies and stuff I suppose. Which means you end up retyping all your passwords. Then give it a try and let me know that you got in ok, so I can let them know.

Yup, I'm back.

Many thanks Carlos.

I've got to say folks, Carlos has been golden at getting me back on track with this, both times I've been locked out. Super quick response and great comms through out.

Thanks again mate.

Stick.
