Went out to feed the llamas and sheep, and while wandering about with the 'candy bucket' (Sweet feed) a bit ago I noticed about twice as many brown llamas. When I really looked, it turned out it was actually nine deer, in the paddock area, drinking and eating the alfalfa I had put out earlier. They were all watching me, and I just did my rounds. Before I could get out the gate, deer and llamas shared the evening treats together. One doe followed me out to the gate!

As long as they stay out of the orchard and garden, we'll be fine. I suppose I need to be more diligent in carrying a camera when I go out. Pretty nice to see...

Time to start supper and have a bowl of Pebble Castle with a Porter.

(sigh)Very Happy

So the Llamas and sheep get along fine with the deer and vice versa. You're got a real petting zoo there Ozzie.

bom

I'm thinking Venison plus Sweet Chili Sauce would make some killer jerky.

Actually supper was chicken simmered in sweet chili sauce and Spanish rice, black beans and corn bread battered okra fried in peanut oil. Home made salsa from last year and sour cream for sides.
