A beautiful Dublin I'll be getting soon by Pipemaker Sean Reum, can't wait to see it next to that cracking Rhodesian coming from Greece

When I gaze into it for long enough I can see a 3D dolphin. Wink

Banjo, a GORGEOUS piece of briar. How was the briar finished to make the Birdseye pop? Looking forward too seeing more pictures once you receive that beauty. Hope it's a great smoker for you cheers

The maker calls it a high contrast finish, I've done similar when refinishing rifle and shotgun stocks when I held my FFL and did a bit of gunsmithing, it generally involved two different stains, one to bring out the grain and the other the heartwood highlights although you can't do it if the wood doesn't have the grain to support the process, once the finish coat was applied you worked it to a satisfactory result. Never having done a pipe I'm in much of awe in what Sean has done myself and feel privileged to have acquired it, cheers.
