Here's a Squashed Tomato I made recently, and it's the first one I have made with my "Leather Rustication."

Materials: Grecian briar and hand-cut Absylux stem

That rustication is simply amazing. I usually like craggy rustication but this is very subtle and understated. All together a very elegant piece.

Yeah, that rustication technique came about out of necessity when I was away from my sandblasting equipment for awhile.

I have found that a lot of guys who don't even like rustication seem like this this one, so I have just been sticking with it.
