A 2016 Savinelli 320 Saint Nicholas pipe

A tin of McClelland Holiday Spirit 2016 and a tin of McClelland Holiday Spirit 2017.

The pipe and tobacco arrived today. I really like the looks of this pipe!

Thanks, y'all. I like Sav 320s and I love Christmas pipes. I closely associate pipe smoking with Christmas. They are one of those things that make me happy.

Actually, I haven't. I'm breaking in another pipe right now. I will probably get some Carter Hall to start breaking the 320 in real soon.

We have something in common.....I break in most of my briars with Carter Hall. Still smoke it straight often. Have a number of jars aged over 10 years. Also one of my dessert blends I've made for years....
Carter Hall 70% & VBC 30% age for a few years and you have an excellent smoke after any meal... cheers

Is aged Carter Hall much different? I never have any around long enough to age. Laughing

Smokes extremely smooth with absolutely no bite if pushed. You can actually pick up the cocoa a bit better. I've also broken in a number of good briars with a fine burley straight. Not to overheat the briar before a nice thin even Kake/cake builds up.
