PostSubject: New Pipes   Wed Feb 07, 2018 12:42 pm

I bought a few Peterson pipes. First one is a Christmas 2017 shape 03 and the other, an Arklow shape B10...
I find the Bent Peterson pipes  to be ideal to smoke when I go hiking with the Missus. Because the disconnect between the stem and the boring to the tobacco chamber prevents "juicing" or gurgling when it's windy. clown

Handsome pipes FP. Just a thought, are the stems interchangeable? Might be nice for a change in look?

Both are fine looking pipes, great classic looks. Congrats on 2 new pipes for your collection.

I don't know if it's the same as with the System pipes...? And these are acrylic as I understand so if Peterson does have some available it is actually a great point you're raising.

I wasn't thinking about you buying other stems, more swapping them over between the pipes pictured. Just a thought?

Right. That kind of interchangeable. Hmmm...How about I tell you when I get them? I suspect they just might be. Wink

I've always said you can't go wrong with a Pete. I have over a dozen in my humble collection, and many are estates.

Cool

Cheers,

I have heard of certain sub atomic particles that can occupy two places in space-time, but not a pipe.

I'd love to see the math!

Those are some nice Peterson’s. Hopefully they land in Arklow safely.

Exactly my question. How can it be in two different spots and exactly at the same time? Fascinating, isn't it???

Jeez......looks like that shipment is taking a world holiday. Hopefully it'll reach you eventually. They will have been well travelled by then!

Exclamation

Let's see things on the bright side: the briar will age some more. Can't hurt.

They are not interchangeable. As where the white stem fits the Arklow (and it does look sharp with it), the black stem is a bit too wide for a proper fit on the Xmas; and a black stem kind of ruins the look of it. The white stem is really better suited.
Also, the acrylic and mouthpiece is better executed on the Xmas than on the Arklow, which is a bit hard to clench; it tends to move as where the Xmas is a perfect fit.
