Smoking some right now in a Ser Jacopo apple. Don't see what the fuss is about. Maybe I'll try chopping it up instead of folding. Whatever.

Agreed, to me it's just OK whether folded or rubbed out. The C&D Burley Flakes are soooo much better IMHO. Of course I've never had any other than fresh...

Solani ABF is the smoothest burley flake I've tried to date, but it's not the "biggest" bowl around. I tend to reach for latakia blends and/or dark fired as a go-to, but every now and then I want a smooth, simple burley. ABF fits this bill to a T. If it weren't so expensive, I'd probably buy more of it. For a lot less $$, MacBaren Golden Extra is a good solid everyday Burley.

On another note, can anyone compare ABF with MacBaren's new HH Burley Flake?
