and 34 inch waist trousers.

I guess I need to start buying seperates.

Unfortunately they are a requirement.
Being a product of Parochial School. I just treat at wearing a suit every day the same way I treated wearing uniforms almost every day from k - 12 grade. A necessary evil

I hate suits..Ties remind me of baby bibs..It's my opinion that most folks wouldn't wear them if they didn't feel that it's expected in their profession.

Dont mind um on the rare occasions I feel oblagated to don one. Neutral Love the look of double brested (insert joke) but way to skinny to pull it off. Always wanted a white/cream silk southern style summer suit, absoultly no reason though, not even sure why?

I actually really like suits. But I agree that it is ridiculous for me to buy 42" waist pants because I'm a 46 chest. I look like I have on MC Hammer pants on. This wouldn't be so bad if my suits didn't run in the $1k range Mad

Yep, One suit for funerals, weddings & christmas & easter services when the wife drags me to church.
Got a decent looking standard dark gray 2 piece for $100.00 a couple years ago at some discount mart. Ties, hate em, first thing to come off as soon as I get in the car.
Work attire is typically blue jeans and company logo T shirts & Sweat shirts, same as the boss wears.

I don't always love suiting, but I quickly learned its value while teaching: it communicates authority and a serious demeanor like nothing else. And it draws a line without saying a word or showing any disrespect. I always kind of frowned on teacher who dressed the same as their 15-year-old students.

(I am also lucky in that I have proportions that are pretty close to the off-the-rack ratio.)

well I have to agree 100% with that reasoning,,,the profs in the suits always drew respect,,seemed more serious and professional,,,as if to say "I'm here to do my job, now lets get down to brass tacks"

Problem solved.
Suit separates at Jos Bank.
Both my Father and my Boss offered to set me up an appointment with their respective tailors, but I don't make that kind of money.

I don't mind wearing a suit once in a while, but it's rare that the occasion presents itself.

Even to church...if I feel like "dressing up" a bit, I'll wear a jacket and tie. I last wore a suit when my mom passed away November 1st.

Having said that, I do notice that the respect factor goes up when you have a suit on. And, I have always wanted a seersucker suit (like Matlock wore) but I don't know if I could pull off the look.
