Now I know this isn't pipe related, but thought someone might here might have some knowledge on this. I also smoke RYO tobacco when I don't have time to enjoy my pipes. I have a tin of Amsterdam Shag that is (inadvertently) well aged, enough that the tobacco inside turned black. Anyone know what this does to RYO tobacco? Does it work like pipe tobacco, or does RYO deteriorate with age like cigarettes?

I would think that it would age like any other tobacco. When the new schip tax came out I stocked up a years supply of RYO for my cigarette smoking wife. So far everthing has been okay.

Tobacco is an organic product so if it doesn't mold or otherwise spoil it will age fine.

Well no sign of mold, just a little dry so hopefully I'm in luck. Thanks guys!
