The uniformity of the flame-like grain on the middle Pencil Lovat is absolutely breathtaking. The stain and wax finish you use to polish your non-rusticated pipes looks too good to be true, Yakslon. cheers Good camera work helps, too... Wink Stunning, just stunning.

The pipes do look like the picture, it's true! :-) Thanks for the compliment. I was very lucky with this piece of briar. Fantastically beautiful picture, I could not pass on the beauty of the photo ... :-) Of course, I do photo editing in Photoshop, but it's usually white balance, sharpening. "Flame" I do not paint ... :-)

Color balancing is almost essential these days, but I can certainly tell these pipes are the real thing--they just LOOK too good to be true. Laughing The simplicity of the shape really showcases the grain, and that's something I really appreciate. Afford? No. Appreciate? Sure. Cool

Yakslon, how much briar do you go through to find this good of stuff to carve? Or are you just very lucky? Laughing

Cool

Need for a good briar hunts ... :-) This briar I bought in Italy, Mimmo. He has even better, but to get it to stand in line, three months ... And how lucky, of course. :-)

I've been drooling over Yakslon's pipes since his first pipe posted. I'm wild in tobacco this days but when that passes I know I'm going to want a few high-grades. There are a lot of artisan pipes out there that are superb, but I've decided. It's Yakslon. I just pm'd him and his prices, to me, are very low for such work. To put it another way the vice of price hasn't gotten him yet.

Hi YakSlon. Do you have a list or gallery of pipes that are currently available? Your work is just beautiful. Thank you for sharing these images.

Hi! Unfortunately the last time I'm doing a little pipes, health does not allow to work in full force.
Almost all of my work is in the gallery:
